Commemorative Brick
Fill our Path of Love and Hope! Purchase a personalized brick featuring your tribute to a loved person or animal. Your brick will be placed in our brick path which provides a walkway on DCHS's grounds. This long-lasting opportunity to honor or remember a loved one supports the lifesaving work of DCHS.
- The 4" x 8" red brick is available for a gift of $750. You will also receive a 1½" x 3" x ½" miniature commemorative brick.
- The 8" x 8" red brick is available for a gift of $1,500. You will also receive a 3" x 3" x ½" miniature commemorative brick.
Bricks are ordered by DCHS twice a year, on March 1st and August 1st, and are typically placed in the spring or summer, and again in the fall. We are unable to place bricks during the winter months when the ground is wet or frozen. You will be notified once your brick has been placed, including its location in the path. You are welcome to visit and view your brick whenever most convenient.

Commemorative Benches
Create a lasting tribute along our Path of Love and Hope with a personalized white concrete memorial bench. Commemorative bench opportunities begin with gifts of $10,000, supporting the lifesaving work of Dane County Humane Society. Your bench will be placed on our beautiful campus at the main shelter (5132 Voges Road).

Please Note: Commemorative bricks and benches are displayed with care and are intended to remain in place for as long as they are in good condition. However, as outdoor installations, they are exposed to the elements — including Wisconsin's harsh winters — and may become worn over time.
When an item is no longer serviceable or its inscription can no longer be clearly read, it will be respectfully removed. Worn or weathered memorials will not be replaced. We will make a reasonable effort to contact the original purchaser or designated contact before a memorial is removed; however, we cannot guarantee notification in every circumstance.
