Bark & Wine
Step Right Up!
Join us at Bark & Wine on Saturday, September 26, for an afternoon where carnival fun meets a celebration of animals, all happening right at Dane County Humane Society!
Come spend the afternoon mixing and mingling with animals of all kinds, including adorable kittens, a variety of small animals, plenty of pups, a former wildlife patient, and even a horse! Enjoy delicious fair-inspired vegan eats, fresh-popped popcorn, freshly spun cotton candy, and adult beverages while you take in all the fun.
There’s plenty to see and do, too! Get a tarot card reading, have a caricature drawn, and strike a pose with a shelter pup at the kissing booth photo op. Try your luck at the “Duck Pond” wine pull and bid on amazing items in our silent auction. We’re also expecting a few friends from the Madison Fire Department, along with the debut of their annual calendar benefiting the animals at DCHS.
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to connect with animals, learn more about the lifesaving work happening at DCHS, and celebrate the people who make that work possible.
Come ready to play, indulge, mingle with animals, and celebrate! And when the afternoon is over, head home with a swag bag, great memories, and the knowledge that your ticket helped raise funds for animals in need.
Silent Auction
We have incredible items generously donated by local businesses, DCHS volunteers, and other supporters available in our online auction. Our auction has a little bit of everything: from musical instruments, to home décor, to liquors and wines, to handmade items. We have a variety of gift cards and certificates to enjoy events, activities, and restaurants. And carefully curated baskets for you and your fur-iends. All proceeds go to provide comfort and care to our animals. The auction will open for bids on September 17, 2026.
Interested in donating an item to the auction? Email [email protected].
The auction will close at 5:30 pm on September 26. If you're not at the event to gather your winnings, items will be available for pickup from 12:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, at the Main Shelter, 5132 Voges Road. If the pickup time doesn't fit your schedule, accommodations can be arranged. Just email [email protected].
