Tips for Proper Pet Care
Take a look at these great pet care tips to help make pets happy and healthy, keep you safe, and protect animals!
- Provide your pet with adequate food, water, shelter, hygiene, obedience training, and veterinary care (checkups and vaccinations).
- Make sure your per wears their identification tags at all times.
- Give your pets plenty of love and attention.
- Don’t approach or provoke unfamiliar, stray, or wild animals.
- Always ask the owner for permission before petting or playing with anyone’s pet.
- Keep your pet on a leash, indoors, or in a fenced yard at all times.
- Don’t touch or bother an animal while it is eating or sleeping.
- Don’t leave you pet in a parked car, especially on hot or cold days (even on a mild day with the windows open they can heat up quickly).
- Report injured, neglected, or stray animals.

 The Feline Friends Fund provides lifesaving donations directly to the homeless cats at Dane County Humane Society.  Dane County Humane Society's Animal Medical Services (AMS) provides outstanding medical attention and care to ALL of the homeless animals that come through our doors.
