For the Troops!

Troop Donation Tour

Is your troop interested in helping our shelter? You can participate in our donation tour! Your group can hold a drive to collect items from our wishlist, or a community service project to benefit our shelter! Your group can schedule a time to drop off your hard-earned donations and then receive a one-of-a-kind tour. If your troop raises $200 or more, we will take your picture and feature you in our kid heroes section. This is a great way to reinforce positive relationships between people and animals! All programs must be scheduled in advance. Tours available Monday- Friday, from 11:00-7:00pm. For more information, contact DCHS education coordinator at 838-0413 x115.

Girl Scout Badges

Are you looking to earn your pet care badge or wildlife badge? Look no further! Dane County Humane Society offers workshops for both badges! Each workshop includes a tour of the humane society, a lesson, and an animal service project.

Girls will be able to ask questions and share animal-related experiences throughout the class. In most cases, the girls will also have an opportunity to interact with some small animals that are part of the Humane Education Program. Both workshops will offer ideas on how girls can become more involved with the animals or other shelter activities, such as volunteering or attending Camp Pawprint.

Limit 16 girls per session, so register soon!

  • $8 per girl for pet care (includes badge) and $2 per additional child
  • $7 per girl for wildlife (include badge) and $2 per additional child
