Board of Directors
Dane County Humane Society's Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the shelter. The Board is comprised of community members committed to the mission of Helping People Help Animals. Board members volunteer their time.
Board members are chosen either by appointment from the Board or by election from DCHS members at the annual meeting.
The Board of Directors meets from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the DCHS training room. Occasionally, meeting are held off-site. Meetings are open to DCHS members.
***Please note: Summer 2009 meetings will be held at the United Way building on Atwood Avenue due to Camp Pawprint.***

Learn about DCHS's collaboration with Shelter from the Storm and Dane County Friends of Ferals. By working together we can reach our goal of making Dane County an adoption guarantee community by 2012. Click here for more information.
The Feline Friends Fund provides lifesaving donations directly to the homeless cats at Dane County Humane Society. Contributions support cat adoption programs, spay and neuter surgeries to help reduce chronic overpopulation, as well as outreach and educational efforts to make our community a safer, kinder place for cats. Humane Society dogs that need to learn some manners, could benefit from socializing with other dogs, or just plain need to burn off some energy can go to Lucky Dog for free. Lucky Dog also donates all proceeds from the dog wash at their annual customer appreciation picnic to DCHS. |
