Annual Events

Bark & Wine

May 17th, 2008

barkandwine.giveshelter.org

Save the date! Join us for our annual Bark & Wine on May 17, 2008: an evening of food, wine, and swing music.  This year's festivities include wine, beer, and martinis, an incredible assortment of food, furry hosts and the sweet sounds of the Swinging 7. There is also a silent auction with many exciting items and, as always, a fabulous raffle!  All proceeds go to homeless animals in the care of Dane County Humane Society.

For detailed information on the event, or to purchase event and raffle tickets, click here.

Catapalooza

August 15th & 16th, 2008

Keep an eye out for CATAPALOOZA - a celebration of cats!  In past years there have been special cat adoption fairs, discounted cat microchipping clinics, games, activities, kitten showers, great raffle prizes, refreshments, and more!  Admission is always FREE and everyone is welcome.

Stay tuned for more information!

Dogtoberfest

September 27th, 2008

Save the date! DCHS is once again holding our annual fall Dogtoberfest celebration at Capital Brewery in Middleton on September 27, 2008 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. In addition to a fun day full of games, contests, auctions, raffles, live entertainment, and of course, dogs and the people who love them (and did we mention the great beer?!)... all proceeds go directly to the homeless animals in our care.

There is a $5 donation admission fee to the event. If you would like more information, please contact Angela at arhodes@giveshelter.org or (608) 838-0413 ext. 118. We hope to see you and your canine companions on September 27th!

Feline Friends Fund

The Feline Friends Fund provides lifesaving donations directly to the homeless cats at Dane County Humane Society. Help support our efforts to make a difference in the lives of the thousands of cats that come through our doors. Contributions to the Feline Friends Fund support cat adoption programs, spay and neuter surgeries to help reduce chronic overpopulation, as well as outreach and educational efforts to make our community a safer, kinder place for cats. Help Me Heal Fund

Dane County Humane Society's Animal Medical Services (AMS) provides outstanding medical attention and care to ALL of the homeless animals that come through our doors.  Our latest story is about a wonderful horse named Star who went from neglect to finding a new life (click on the picture to read more).  We depend on your kindhearted donations to make these miracles happen.  To make a contribution, please donate directly to the Help Me Heal fund.
