Rehome Your Pet

The DCHS rehoming service is an alternative to surrendering your pet to the shelter.  By listing your pet here, your pet is able to stay in the familiar comfort of your home until a new home is found.  It also helps to alleviate overcrowding in the shelter due to the numerous unwanted animals arriving daily.

This rehoming service is NOT intended for the sale of animals or purposely-bred litters.  The goal of our rehoming service is for an owner to find a good permanent home for their animal, not make a profit on them.  You may, however, ask for a donation for their adoption.

All animals listed on this rehoming service MUST be spayed/neutered if over the age of 6 months and current on vaccinations.

We strongly encourage including a photo of your animal.  History has shown us that postings with photos often generate the most interest.

Please note that postings older than 30 days will be deleted from our database.  You are welcome to re-post an updated listing of your pet every 30 days as needed.

Any posting not following our posting requirements or deemed inappropriate by DCHS will be deleted.
